Howard’s property investment portfolio remains the core of our business, and continues to expand considerably each year.

The objective remains to acquire and hold a portfolio of high-quality, well-located investment properties within a two-hour radius of Cambridge. The Group enjoys excellent relationships with its 250 tenants who between them occupy approximately one million square foot.

Over recent years, the business has undertaken a process of repositioning the Group’s investments and has achieved this through a combination of redevelopment, asset management and disposal. Today the portfolio comprises multi-let industrial estates, retail warehouses and offices located in the East of England and London.

In addition to developing and refurbishing properties for the Group’s investment arm, it also acquires and develops land for disposal. Working closely with landowners, charities and other institutions, the Group enjoys many excellent relationships with partners throughout the East of England.



Prompted by the ongoing strong demand for quality residential properties in central Cambridge, Howard Group has taken a long-term view of this sector and is starting to create a residential property portfolio, with a clear focus on building long-term value. The Group’s investment arm identifies promising opportunities within the city for both the development and acquisition of private residential properties and student accommodation.



All Howard Group’s properties are managed by an experienced in-house team, with additional support provided by a team of trusted partners and suppliers. The Group is therefore able to maintain and strengthen its relationships with tenants over time, leading to a better, more comprehensive understanding of their business and accommodation requirements.
